About Skinmade

Founding: Viktor Balzer worked as a graduate industrial engineer at the Fraunhofer Institute from 2013 to 2019. His research focus was the production of personalized products in the process industry. Dr. Lars Rüther is a molecular biologist and works as laboratory & research manager at Dermatest. At the first meeting of the two founders in 2014, dermo-pharmaceutical knowledge (Dr. Lars Rüther) met with production and engineering know-how (Viktor Balzer) — and the idea of skinmade as personalized facial care was born. Today, both have been managing directors at skinmade since the spin-off from the Fraunhofer Institute in 2018. Mission statement: For Viktor Balzer and Dr. Lars Rüther, social benefits were an essential part of the brand right from the start. As a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute, skinmade has virtually been born to human-friendly thinking and action! The products are clearly geared to the individual (skin) needs of customers.
