Inspired by her love of all things nautical, Louise captures the joy and vibrancy of the Scottish seaside in her colourful paintings. Her work, often described as “cute” and “colourful,” is designed to bring smiles and a sense of innocent nostalgia, evoking memories of carefree summer days spent at the beach. From local landmarks to the delightful wildlife that inhabits the coast, her art is a celebration of everything that makes the seaside special. Louise founded East Neuk Beach Crafts in 2016, originally creating pebble art and jewellery from her beach-combing finds such as sea glass and driftwood. During lockdown, she discovered a passion for watercolour, which has since become the heart of her collection. Her paintings are now available on a range of homeware and gifts such as prints, cards, keyrings, tea towels, fridge magnets and more.
