Amanda and hubby Francis met in South Korea then relocated to Las Vegas where they started their family. Their oldest Kai was 98th percentile and not slowing down so Amanda started dabbling in sewing a carrier for their family’s needs. This sewing adventure grew overnight for the young seamstress and soon families from all over the globe would commission their own carrier for their family. A few years later they would add to their family a second child, Roman, due while dad would be gone with the Air Force on a deployment. The question arose of how Amanda would care for and carry both ABOUT US children when her sewing skills kicked in for a 2nd style of carrier that would clip into the full buckle. Queue the Duo Onbuhimo, innovated to allow single or tandem wearing. She then took it a step further and made a collection suitable for everyday and water play! These innovations and the continuous pursuit to improve babywearing are what keep families and caregivers coming to the Naked Panda side. Babywearing is more than just a tool, it is the emotional, physical and social support of caregivers. We are forever grateful to not only our fan base but also to the baby wearers that came before us in all cultures. Without the generational gift of babywearing we would not have been able to add our own spin to an already great tool.
