The Maitland sisters started Flying Sheep Country to bring you marvelous table linens that combine the look of Indian block prints and fine European embroidery. From every day to dinner party looks, their linens are both cheerful and elegant. The sisters’ British roots and childhood in Westport, CT. are contributing influences to their collections. They favor vibrant prints and fine embroidery details to create sophisticated and unique tablescapes. Why We're Called Flying Sheep Country It's a nod to our time living in England and visiting the Cotswolds. Our parents would take us on long drives and our favorite site was seeing sheep alongside country roads. Artisanal Expertise From all corners of the world, we work with expert tailors and embroiderers, and artisans trained in the ancient art of block printing. Fabrics We offer three different types of fabrics: pure cotton, a cotton/polyester blend, and fine Swiss linen.
