Zansette Home sells African Diaspora inspired home decor. Given my Creole roots in New Orleans, it's no surprise that I have an appreciation for the diversity of the African Diaspora. After years of stress related health issues, I realized the importance of self care as we aim to reach our personal and professional goals. So, I started this home decor brand with just a few handmade products that I believe honor the culture and make life more comfortable. Growing up in New Orleans, my mother would commission a seamstress to create custom bedding and drapery for my bedroom. On visits to Charleston, SC, I would help my grandmother prep for Holiday and Sunday dinners by ironing napkins and setting the table with themed dinnerware. Home is where my heart has always been, and where I have the fondest memories. I started Zansette Home as an answer to friends, family, brothers and sisters across the African Diaspora living stressful lives based on the well intended career advice: "You have to work twice as hard to have half as much as [others]". Zansette Home is where the Diaspora goes to rest. The overall mission and vision of the business is to create comfortable, culturally connected spaces that remind the African Diaspora not to sacrifice wellness for ambition.
