Hey there! My name is Teddy and I am the heart & hands behind Tera Clay! I am also a plant lover, a dog-mom and I have always loooved creating. I am an Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation student of Tilburg University in the Netherlands. After everything shut down in the Netherlands at the end of 2020, I started making polymer clay earrings as a way to unleash my creativity and unwind between my online lectures at uni and countless hours spent in front of my computer screen.

Elle crée – or “she creates” in French – produces artist quality paint-by-number kits that foster creativity and self-care! Our company was founded by Portland illustrator Rachel Austen in 2017 out of her desire to create a nostalgic product from her illustrations that customers could interact with and that would spur their own creativity. Her kits feature a diverse array of subject matter, including still lifes, botanicals, and inspirational history-makers! We seek to reduce our impact on the environment by carefully sourcing eco-friendly components that are locally produced and USA-made, whenever possible. Our custom paint colors are mixed by hand from non-toxic USA-made acrylic, and our kits are assembled with the help of a small staff in Portland, Oregon. Founded with a social focus, 5% of our net profits are donated to social and environmental causes. In addition to being an eco-friendly brand we’re also committed to being an organization of diversity, inclusion, and most importantly inspiration for budding artists everywhere.

Here are just a few advantages to using FD product over traditional wood crafting and Home decor products: 1. FD Materials. A. We use plantation grown, environmentally friendly Radiata pine and other sustainable wood sources. B. Radiata Pine is commonly accepted as the best wood for craft and decor. It tends to be softer and less brittle, making it lighter and easier to work with. C. Plantation grown trees can sequester and store large amounts of Carbon from the environment. 2. FD Designs. A. We pride ourselves on our trendy, beautiful and imaginative designs. Each item is cut by computer, but still hand drawn to maintain a DIY look. B. Extra layers, shapes and foundations give our decor depth and dimension. C. we use strategic designs to help cover joint or transition areas, giving most projects or home decor a cleaner finish without choppy unsightly lines. 3. Foundations Decor overall finish. A. We pay attention to current design and color trends and create kits with artwork we would be proud to display. It is not cheesy or useless art, not in the public domain and is geared towards adults. The kits are high quality, a good value and have really fun and delightful packaging. Catherine, the owner of Cate Paper Co., is an artist, designer and letterpress printer. Alongside our fantastic team we design & make an ever evolving collection of products which are made in England with great care & attention to detail. Based on the riverside in Leeds, Yorkshire (our hometown!), we work responsibly & sustainably with producers & all products pass through our studio for compiling before heading out to customers. Everything is made to order & carefully wrapped & packed by the team. So in busy periods it does take us a few weeks to work through orders, but we hope your customers will appreciate the care put into making good quality products. Paper products & packaging are printed & finished in our home county using mainly 100% recycled materials. All wood is sustainably sourced & is lasercut locally. Wherever possible product components such as twine, cork & envelopes are sourced from manufacturers in either England or Europe. We are proud to be stocked in over 1000 shops, boutiques, florists, museums, garden centres & galleries. Most of these are fantastic independent businesses that make our towns & cities vibrant & interesting places, however we also work with larger & prestigious retailers such as the RA & Waterstones.
