My Beginnings: My love for barbecue began when I was a young boy, watching on as my parents and family would grill chicken halves over an open 4’ x 10’ pit in my hometown of Saluda, SC. I still remember the aromas of hickory wood burning and chicken cooking. Many family gatherings revolved around that barbecue pit. As I grew into my 30’s, I began developing a recipe for a barbecue sauce. I wanted it to be different than the traditional mustard, tomato or vinegar sauces. After about 30 years of experimenting with the recipe, I finally achieved the taste I wanted. For the past three years, I have been taking the necessary steps to create my business, BBQ Avenue LLC. The first production of HacSauce became a reality on June 14, 2023 Attributes of HacSauce: HacSauce is Gluten Free and uses a quality grade of products. HacSauce is only 40 calories per two tablespoon servings. HacSauce is more than just a barbecue sauce. Some of our friends have used it as a baste on Salmon, broccoli, brussels sprouts, baked potatoes, bacon-wrapped scallops, Jalapeno Poppers and several other ways. Use your creativity.
