Born to Explore. Nestled in the little valley of De Wet in the Western Cape province of South Africa, Six Dogs is, at its heart, a tribute to the spirit of innovation and adventure with a range of 100% natural hand-crafted premium gins. It began in 2013 in the most humble way: on our farm in a shed where our six dogs used to sleep, using an old copper geyser that had been welded and converted into a makeshift still by a family friend. This was how our first batch of gin was distilled. When you visit our farm today you will find that the dog shed has now been converted into a distillery and it is from here that Charles Bryant, our master distiller, continues to dream up and experiment with gin creations under the watchful eyes of our six dogs: Midget, Obelix, Flea, Bodrum, Diesel and Jack. At the end of 2021, in the adventurous spirit that is Six Dogs, we opened an office in The Netherlands from where we are looking forward to expanding our reach in Europe and growing the pack of Six Dogs fans on a global scale. To us, creating gin is not just about the handpicked botanicals, or our custom designed still, or the molecular technology we use to protect the delicate flowers used in our gins. It is about waking up every day and loving what we do. It’s about setting out to craft the finest gin we can, one batch at a time. It’s about creating something extraordinary. Something to be proud of. That’s who we are.
