We are Candrakala, a small Mannheim publishing house with the aim of creating products that enable us to fill our everyday lives with more spirituality and self-love. Our focus is on our yoga & lunar calendar, which we have been self-publishing annually since 2022. We don't want to separate life as it sometimes happens, hectic and full of appointments, from the idea of living a spiritual life. Both can happen in parallel and this calendar creates the connection. But we also have other self-designed, sustainable products. Sustainable production is very important to us for all products. That is why we produce regionally and climate-neutrally. All CO2 emissions that result from this are recorded and offset. It is printed with ecological inks on 100% recycled paper. We ship in sustainable shipping bags and do not use additional packaging material or plastic. The name Candrakala comes from Sanskrit, the language of all ancient Indian texts and yoga. Translated, Candrakala means “the 16th part (kala) of the disk of the moon (Chandra)” and describes the crescent moon the day before or after a new moon. Kala also means “time” and so “Candrakala” becomes “lunar time.”
