The genesis of the Paracas brand begins in California when we began to realize the climates we were exposed to from enjoying the outdoors were taking a toll on our skin care. With limited options, we reluctantly purchased skincare products from brands that lacked the knowledge of the outdoor elements and what an outdoor consumer really needed. These one-size-fits all products fell short when we were looking for skin recovery from our adventures through extreme climate conditions. We solidified our vision for the Paracas brand in 2014 while traversing the Atacama Desert, which holds the driest climate on the planet. We quickly realized that we needed a product that was “adaptive” to a particular climate. While overlooking a magnificent sunset on Volcano Licancabur, we coined the term “climate adaptive skincare” and the rest is history.
