Duodu London fuses traditional African art and print with classic streetwear. The brand draws inspiration from its founders African roots. Designer Danny Kay Duod grew up in Ghana, where from a young age he used his own designs to personally explore the process of screen printing onto cloth. It was then that he set up a small business on his mothers porch selling prints to women in the local community. From this sparked Danny’s interest in apparel design and production. Duodu London launched in 2012 as a line of organic t-shirts printed with Danny’s hand drawn designs inspired by African tribal art. The brand has now expanded to offer a line of bomber jackets using a hint of African print, caps embroidered with fine metallic gold thread, loungewear, shirts and a baby clothing line to match the adult collection. The garments are produced responsibly in small quantities to a high quality finish in the UK. The adult and baby line of organic t-shirts and jumpers are printed using eco friendly water based inks.
