Our goal at Arsai Soap is to create plant-based, chemical free, olive oil soaps using traditional methods and ingredients the people of Bziza, Lebanon have been using for generations. We are a women owned and operated in both of our locations, Lebanon and Michigan. We have made it our mission to employ women from the rural Bziza village to hand make all of the soaps we produce. These extraordinary women have a plethora of soap making techniques and skin care knowledge passed down from their ancestors for over a century. They were chosen not only due to their knowledge, but also because of the impact it has on their lives and their families' livelihoods. These women are true pioneers in the soap making and skin care fields and we are grateful to have them on our team at Arsai. Nestled in the olive-rich landscapes of the Bziza village in the Koura District of Lebanon, Arsai has been handcrafting artisanal soaps for generations, using the purest ingredients. Bziza is located at the ideal elevation, adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea which has allowed the perfect climate conditions for our olive trees to produce what many believe is the best olive oil in the world. These olive trees have produced the olive oil used in villager’s soaps for thousands of years allowing many generations the privilege of its skincare benefits.
