About North Country Craft

Hello! I'm Erin. The sole artist/maker behind North Country Craft. I'm based out of Duluth, Minnesota and love the endless amount of inspiration living near Lake Superior provides. Whether it's the way the light dances off the big lake or all of the textures throughout the northwoods — this place inspires my work and products. I grew up playing cribbage while at the family cabin and somehow it wove itself into my art. I realized I didn't have a cribbage board and one night decided to make myself one. That has since snowballed into this little wood burning and cribbage business I love so dearly. It fills me with gratitude getting to create unique pieces of functional art and knowing people are sitting down all across the country to play a game of cribbage with their loved ones. Over 15,000 cribbage boards of mine have wandered off into the world since 2016 — and in the process have helped plant over 3,500 trees. Although I specialize in wood burned and handmade cribbage boards, I believe in allowing oneself to continually grow and expand ideas across all different mediums. I especially love working with watercolors and photography when I'm not wood burning. I'm a scuba diving loving, barefoot at the cabin, countless coffee-stained sketchbooks, and covered in sawdust kind of maker — and I am grateful for you checking out my work!
