Our Brand Story Coloring Passports was created from a promise. As an art teacher, I had the privilege of working with a talented young student who, during her battle with cancer, asked me to start an art program on the oncology ward at Children’s Mercy Hospital. She had seen firsthand how older kids on the ward—kids who were there for weeks or even months—had little to do to fill their days. Art had given her a way to express herself and escape, if only for a little while. And so I promised her I would find a way to bring creativity, exploration, and a sense of adventure to kids who needed it most. Although my student lost her life to cancer, my commitment to that promise has only grown stronger. Coloring Passports is my way of keeping it—a series of books that invites kids and adults alike to explore the wonders of our world, to learn, and to create. Each title in the series, from Dolphins to Africa Safari, combines art, science, and discovery, making learning an experience that’s as beautiful as it is enriching. With each book, we aim to provide a bit of color, creativity, and wonder, whether it’s for a child in a hospital room, a family on an educational journey, or anyone with a curious mind. Today, Coloring Passports is more than just a book series; it’s a mission, a tribute to my student, and a way to make a difference—one page at a time.
