Teddy's Eczema Bar is a skincare line formulated for eczema prone skin. With 3 easy steps, Teddy's Eczema Bar takes the guess work out of how to handle a flare up. Our cofounder, Chelsea, grew up half the year in Trinidad with relatives and was always exposed to women in her family making a salve or a balm to cure an ailment. When her son Teddy developed eczema at eight, the same age Chelsea was when her eczema was triggered, Teddy challenged his mom. The over the counter soaps and creams Chelsea initially bought to treat Teddy's eczema made Teddy’s skin worse. Dry. Dehydrated. Itchy. So Teddy challenged Chelsea. "Make something for me mommy," he said. "You make stuff for yourself all the time." After about ten months of formulations and experimenting, Chelsea unlocked the right combination of treating Teddy's eczema with an oil cleanser (10 Oil Cleanser), a water base cleanser (01 Clear Bar) and a body butter (21 Lemon Mango Butter). It worked so well family, friends and strangers started asking for it. Chelsea quickly realized that they had something that could be turned into a business.
