“This memory of mama who brought the whole family together on Sundays around a meal after spending the morning cooking with her sisters, cousins, and nieces, all dressed in fabric commonly called wax, while the men took care of the drinks and music. All those Sundays were filled with laughter, new stories to tell, new group games, new dances... In short, we never got bored!” It is from this nostalgic memory that Wilfried and Léticia, brother and sister, came up with the idea to create Massollo, a brand of sunny sports and leisure clothing that, like wax, exudes joy and conviviality. Strong and enriched by their evolution through different cultures and exchanges, having grown up between Congo, Martinique, and France, the two creators have also managed to crystallize and integrate this cultural ensemble into the personality of Massollo. Indeed, the term Massollo is inspired by a Congolese dialect, Lingala, translating to “chats,” meaning a bridge and blend between ideas and people transcending borders. It is this impulse that Wilfried and Léticia wish to transpose via the wax pattern onto technical materials and original products that tell beautiful stories and spread good energies.Read their story
