Beeswax candles, made for the mindful consumer. When you choose a Pellar Fox beeswax candle, you are choosing rendered beeswax from a family-owned farm. You are choosing carefully curated materials without dyes, petroleum, soy, parabens or phthalates. You are choosing a candle packaged in a custom box made from materials guaranteed to come from sustainably-managed forests. You are also choosing a candle that has been hand-wrapped in acid-free, compostable tissue paper printed with soy ink. We founded our company and began growing in Portland, Oregon where we partnered with local markets and a regional independent grocery chain with 11 locations. Now, we are located in New York where you can find our products on the Pellar Fox website, as well as in more than 80 shops and boutiques around the country. So, how did we get our name? In Medieval times, a Pellar was a healer and someone villagers would seek out for help. "Pellar" comes from the latin word ‘Pello’, which means “to expel, banish, drive out”…and when you light a beeswax candle, it produces negative ions that attach to dust, pollen, mold, odor, and toxins in the air…literally driving them out of your space. We chose “Fox” because they are resourceful, intelligent and friendly. They also love honey and beeswax..almost as much as we do. +++Thank you for your patience while we do Inventory.
