Everything started with the fact that everybody makes mistakes. Mistakes are an important part of the process to create or resolve something, but these mistakes don't have to be permanent! Thinking on the traditional ways to write down ideas: using a pencil you usually leave marks on paper, with pens you have plenty of types and colours but are not erasable and it wastes too much paper, and whiteboards are great but not portable. That's why we created Wipebook, the reusable whiteboard notebooks and vertical non-permanent surfaces (VNPS) where you can write down, easy erase your mistakes and use all over again. Our Wipebook’s patented multi-layered film technology -aka hypergloss - transforms conventional paper into dry erase whiteboard notebooks and flipcharts, making it the perfect tool for problem solver. In 2013 the co-founders met in an entrepreneurship class at the University of Ottawa, where they had to develop a viable business in 6 weeks. The team ran a crowdfunding campaign for the idea of a reusable whiteboard notebook which saw the then-class project raise $424,314 in 30 days and validated a market for the product. A few months later, the team had the opportunity to pitch the concept on Dragons Den, where they were offered a deal for 300,000$. Since then, Wipebook has sold over a million reusable surface products in over 68 countries worldwide.Read their story
