In 2018 shortly after getting married and fresh newlyweds, our co-founder Natalia was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder leaving her and her husband Rakan devastated and a long battling journey ahead. Before falling ill, Rakan and Natalia enjoyed traveling around the world as having met, married, and living in Dubai any destination in any direction was a short flight away. As Natalia followed treatment protocols, they continued their passion for travel around the world and through this passion a love and appreciation evolved for different cultures, in particular an intrigue on how individuals defined their own personal style through jewelry and accessories. Fast forward, Natalia had to return to the US for treatment in late 2018 and was bedridden. Her fiery nature, positive attitude and love of art combined with her husband’s innate love of architecture & design, their shared passion and intrigue for 'defining your own personal style' from their travels, they set out to create of a handcrafted jewels with a 925 sterling silver base and The Silver Root was born. At The Silver Root, we offer unique quality jewelry pieces, inspired by the world, with the sophisticated and chic woman in mind.
