ERIK & MIKE: Erik & Mike“ the company, is named after two friends, Erik Caplan and Michael Prentice, who met while visiting Bali in 2001. Working directly with local artisans they developed hand beaded affordable jewelry as Bali was just beginning their bead industry. Erik moved production to India where the product ,shown here on Faire is produced. The Soan collection is hand sewn on to fabric and meticulously cut out of the sewn fabric. Using Czech, calibrated beads produces what I believe is the best quality seed bead jewelry at a great price- Erik. Our hand felted wool product is made by the women artisans in Nepal. We used mid 20th century artists Mark Rothko and Joseph Albers as our inspiration in designing the line.
