Welcome to The Flavia Art Studio. Flavia Weedn was an amazing woman. She began selling art on the streets of California as a single mom in 1960. She had been a tap dance instructor and a fashion merchandiser since she was 18. Art, dance and fashion were her passions. Her husband, Jack Weedn and she remarried and he, with the encouragement of all the Weedn family led the family art adventure with his great ideas. Flavia's brother, Bill brought in his own artistic talents with wood and paint. Flavia's mother, Sylvia was the seamstress and doll maker. Flavia's sister Judy and husband Eric managed printing. In one way or another Flavia's art touched us all. Flavia's children Lisa Weedn and Richard Weedn added art, writing and design abilities as they grew up in the business. Flavia's mission to care for her family never stopped. This art adventure is still creating art cards and posters after 60 years. It is now based in Lugano, Switzerland. Flavia and Jack's children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren carry on the tradition today making 100% cotton, handmade, tree-free, earth friendly goods in a family environment.
