Soap making keeps me connected to nature. I love being surrounded by natural oils of the earth, blending new things & creating little magical recipes & potions. It's not just soap, it's ART! This madness started back in 1996 when I was in search of the perfect Christmas presents for my family. Just when I was about to give up and go home I stumbled across a soap and candle making kit. I thought what the heck I'll give it a try. Little did I know it would become my life's passion and career at that time. My kitchen turned into a mad scientist's lab of soap and candle experiments, I was hooked! All of our products are handmade, cut, wrapped, packaged and shipped from our studio. We consider each of our soap bars to be like little artisan sculptures. Created from our own special recipes we blend the ingredients together until the liquid becomes what soap makers call a "trace" we are then able to pour the batch of soap into molds. This is when the creativity kicks in as we make our designs with different colors, layers and swirls. After it's put into the molds It must then be insulated for 24 hrs prior to being able to be cut into bars. After 24 hrs we are able to take the soap slabs out of the molds cut them into bars, hand trim and shape them. We then place them on curing racks for 4 weeks. Once cured we hand package, wrap and label them and prepare them for their new home. Read their story
