The Intimacy Cards were created by Sharlene Durfey François, an artist and connector. The deck was a response to our collective loss of intimacy during the recent pandemic. They were also inspired by the "36 questions to fall in love" article that showed us how simply asking questions could really create intimate connections. But this deck goes a but further. Its power lays in sparking 3 types of intimacy. Not only are their personal questions (emotional intimacy), but physical and energetic intimacy prompts that encourage conscious touch and ways to connect without words or touch, focusing only on our energy and intuition. The energetic intimacy prompts are unique to any intimacy cards on the market. By gamifying intimacy, this deck is more than just a game, it's a movement. It gives people ways to open up, to lower their masks, embrace vulnerability and create a sense of belonging. It's important to redefine or demystify the word, "intimacy".
