SNOOZ started as an idea at a wedding in a small town outside Chicago, IL. We had observed family members pointing fans at the wall to help their kids sleep. They weren't using it for the air, they were using it for the sound. That seemed silly. That night kicked off a multi-year journey of computer simulations, 3D printing, and prototype testing. We obsessed over tone, size, and minimizing motor noise and vibration. We ended up with a proprietary fan impeller and acoustic chamber to create SNOOZ's signature fan drone. When friends and family refused to return our prototypes, we knew we had something. We launched our initial sound machine with a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015 and we've been spreading the good SNOOZ ever since. We didn’t know it back at that wedding, but we would eventually become brothers-in-law while working on SNOOZ (our wives are sisters). Speaking of which, our nieces and nephews, whose fans pointed at the wall helped inspire the product, now, of course, sleep with SNOOZ sound machines. You might call them fans.
