Wolf People Designer, Gemma Hearn, is based in Avon, Colorado, but is originally from Cape Town, South Africa. Gemma has always had a passion for traveling the world. She has been making and designing jewelry since she was studying Business Science at UCT in Cape Town. Her travels and her passion for design culminated into her dream of Wolf People Jewelry Design, in 2019. Wolf People designs are inspired by history, Mother Nature, and the beauty of the human spirit. Each collection has a story. Giving back is a huge part of the Wolf People brand, through the Nthabi Collection detailed below, as well as our commitment to the ASPCA and WWF, because animals are so very dear to our hearts. The Stories Behind Our Signature collections: Our beloved Nthabi Collection supports and showcases South African artists. Gemma designs the pieces, and her dear friend, Nthabiseng, hires more South African artists in her local community to help her complete the collection. It is extremely important to us to support artists from underserved and underprivileged communities. Their incredible bead and fabric craft has been used for many generations, we are honored to feature it in our designs. The Shield Maiden Collection is inspired by the Viking warrior women who fought alongside the men. Wear your feminine armor daily. The Colorado Snowflower Collection is an homage to our home, Colorado. The design combines the Colorado state flower, the Columbine, with a snowflake = the Snowflower.
