Each year, millions of birds are killed flying into windows. Now you and your customers can save the lives of the beautiful birds you love. WindowAlert decals may be applied to home and office windows. The decals contain a component which brilliantly reflects ultraviolet sunlight. This ultraviolet light is invisible to humans, but glows like a stoplight for birds. Birds have vision that is up to 12 times better than that of humans. WindowAlert was founded in 2003, by birding enthusiast, Spencer Schock. Schock noticed that fast-flying, Bohemian Waxwings had a propensity to strike his windows during migratory season. After researching bird vision, Schock embarked on a journey to reduce bird fatalities from window strikes which, by some estimates, number in the billions worldwide each year. Ultimately, the journey led to WindowAlert decals. Success with decals later lead to the chemical engineering of UV Liquid. UV Liquid functions similar to a bingo marker and is used to make UV reflective dots on windows. The dots dry to nearly clear and deter window strikes, just like WindowAlert decals. Today the company is committed to the preservation and enhancement of wild bird populations worldwide.
