Under her brand Ink and Silk, Holly Kennedy brings a range that includes silk twilly scarves, large silk scarves, silk bow ties and silk ties . Inspired by the flowers, foliage, textures and vibrant hues which nature surrounds us with, she uses acrylic inks and oil pastels to capture these rich, sumptuous colours and forms, with focus is on colour, mark making and abstracted interpretations of the botanical world. With a background in Illustration it was later that she studied Millinery at Kensington and Chelsea and apprenticed with Contemporary Fashion Milliner Noel Stewart, she then worked for London based Fashion Milliner Piers Atkinson as both a Milliner and his studio Manager, before having two children and then later moving away from London. This is when she started painting abstract botanical ink and oil paintings that are then transformed into vibrant and unique silk scarves and men's silk accessories .
