All natural, nourishing, Australian sourced where possible and with no nasties to worry about. I started Mumma's Beans in 2020 pursuing my dream of creating a delicious AND ethical coffee suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding mums as well as people with sensitivities to caffeine, acidity or pesticides used in regular coffee growing. Struggling with bloating during pregnancy and acid reflux during my breastfeeding journey, and seeing my mother in law giving up her much loved coffee ritual because the caffeine and acidity levels of regular coffee caused her too much discomfort, I couldn't believe there was no coffee for women like us. With a background in sustainable food ingredient sourcing and supply chain, our cancelled overseas wedding in 2020 formed the start of bringing a healthier coffee to all Australians that didn't look for 'death by espresso'. The skincare range started from another problem I was facing, as my baby turned into a toddler and wanted to copy everything mum was doing, including putting on moisturiser or lip balm. I didn't want him to put petroleum jelly or other chemicals on his face or lips, and started to make my own, using the high antioxidant benefits of our coffee. My coffee stockists soon started to order skincare items as well, which created the first Australian coffee brand with a skincare range :) Thank you for reading, Maika
