Hi there! I am Maggie Gao-Gehlmann, artist and owner of Flower Bird Art Studio based in sunshine California. I work in many mediums including ceramics, oil and acrylic, and watercolor on paper is my new passion. It seems a lifetime ago when I used to paint on canvas in oil and acrylic; and 12 of my acrylic paintings were selected to wrap two pairs of utility boxes in the city of Rancho Cordova. Currently, I work with watercolor on paper only as the spontaneity and playfulness of watercolor paint is the best suited for depicting the cute animals that delight my soul. My new lines of greeting cards are made from my original hand-painted watercolor illustrations. I believe that art should make the world a happier place; and what is better than sending a witty and joyful greeting card that can bring smiles to the people's faces who receive it? All cards are designed, printed and packed in California, USA.
