In May of 2017 I started Creation Station Designs with my friend Jill. It started from a pool side conversation on a Disney trip together. Next thing we knew we had decided we were going halfsies on a Cricut and supplies, and wanted to at least make our money back by making our gifts to people instead of buying them all the time. We were both single moms and since we were on vacation we were tight on money, but made that leap of faith. It all just organically happened after that. After some nudging from friends, we decided on a name and made a Facebook page, Creation Station Designs, mainly to have a place to show our creations. However, People really liked our stuff and kept asking to make them various items. We took every challenge and rarely said no, and learned a lot very quickly. Aug 21, 2017 was the Total Solar Eclipse. We were invited to sell our shirts at an event for it, and we were a hit! That's when I knew this was my path honestly. I juggled managing at Nordstrom, until I decided I could finally take the full time risk. Right before covid I purchased Jills portion and continued building my business with schools, businesses and individuals in the community. Aug 28, 2021 I opened my storefront, a vendor shop called Crafted in the Loo (WaterLOO, IL, outside of The Lou a.k.a St. Louis, with 45 total vendors in one place. Creation Station Designs is an "anchor vendor" in the store and here I am taking my next step in getting more exposure here on Faire!
