Feeling unfulfilled with my day job, I spent time on the nights and weekends to pursue creative projects. I was looking for something to inspire me. The concept behind JON BLANCO came from a personal struggle in finding local apparel that was both practical and rooted in a bigger vision. It stemmed from my own frustration with the status quo. The brand's founding motto, "inspired by the world," tied together our vision to build a brand that is better for both people and planet. This is where our guiding principle, "Better for you. Better for the planet." comes from. We have come a long way since our first product and first pop up event. I started this brand with a few hundred dollars and without any experience in fashion. Despite the shoestring budget and lack of experience, JON BLANCO has brought together a diverse array of individuals - people that care about fashion's impact on the world. This is what keeps me going. I want to build the clothing brand of the future. One that focuses on organic and recycled fabrics, traceability and accountability.
