“I started making Sailor Mercy Elderberry Syrup after my oldest son Thatcher missed his 3rd day of Kindergarten with sickness. I knew I had to do something for our health and with the cost of doctor visits I wanted something homeopathic as I believe in both natural treatments and modern day medicine. I had no intentions of selling, but after seeing how great it worked on our family, friends and loved ones were quickly asking for bottles too. And that's how Sailor Mercy was born. If I could go back I would have started using elderberry syrup years earlier, its been such a game changer for us, a radical change in my families health." Our syrup and fire cider is small batched; we are not manufactured in a plant or warehouse and we do not use a co-packer. Dani prefers to oversee the operation herself to ensure quality and taste and give it that homemade feel and love. Our commercial kitchen team works hard and safe, but we also have a lot of fun. We have been known to do some dancing and singing in the kitchen while bringing the syrup and cider to life. We work closely with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and our Food Scientist. We are registered with the FDA, we are licensed and inspected by the state, and we test every single batch of syrup we make to ensure we are 100% offering a safe product.
