Kelli's colorful "painty" style is one of joyful expression, varying from Impressionist-like paintings of earthly local landscapes to ethereal galactic cat portraits. Kelli then takes textures and colors from these paintings to give life to more portable expressions of self, such as LGBTQ+ identities and relatable internet memes, as stickers & pinback buttons. ~✶~ Born & raised in Ohio, Kelli now lives & works in beautiful Colorado Springs. They earned their BFA from Columbus College of Art & Design in 2009, and they have since worked in freelance greeting card design, logos & branding projects, both creative & production graphic design, and currently as a sidelines buyer specializing in stationery for an indie bookstore. These rich experiences have culminated into Kelli finally setting out to make art solely for their own Schlady brand, bright designs that reach out to others looking to express themselves just as colorfully. ~✶~
