I loved spoiling our Shih Tzu Wicket! As a result, I came up with several dog treats as he was growing up that he absolutely loved! So, I started selling my peanut butter treats at local craft shows in 2011 and soon realized that I needed to form Dog Gone Delicious Dog Treats. In 2013, I made the business official and started selling at the Springfield Township Farmers Market on Sunday's in Davisburg, my hometown. I continued with my usual craft shows. In 2014, I continued with Springfield's Farmers Market and added Milford Farmers Market, Huron Valley Farmers Market and Holly's Farmers Market. I also continued with craft shows and added the Michigan Antique Festival to my repertoire of shows. 2015 We lost our beloved Wicket, Chief Tasting Officer, but I will continue his legacy into the future. I also continued to add different types of treats. 2016 was the start of my treats being in For the Love of Local in Ortonville! It was also the start of my Treat of the Month club. I was also blessed with Gizmo an 8 week old Shih Tzu from my husband Nate on November 5th. He will be helping out with the taste testing and quality control. 2017 has a lot of new changes in place! First the website name has changed to www.doggonedeliciousdogtreats.com. I have a logo, new bags and new labels! Plus, expect to see me at more shows and in more stores! 2017 was a great year! Now it's 2020 and my goal is to expand into stores with my great brand I created. Read their story
