Taking drinks up a notch is as simple as a splash. We (Mindy and Layne) have always been makers. Our friendship has revolved around cooking, canning, fermenting, and now shrub making. We met back in 2010 working at a coffee shop in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Our relationship was incubated amidst a unique environment of local food and community connectivity. In the summer of 2015, we stumbled upon a shrub recipe and started making them using all the local produce we could get our hands on. Soon, our refrigerators were brimming with shrubs. At this point, we began sampling them at farmers markets, community events, and social gatherings. That’s when we discovered that shrubs fill a party void, they are great for everyone, the drinkers, non-drinkers, and kids alike. We knew we were on to something and low and behold Siren Shrub Company was born right under their noses. Now, we make these flavorful concentrates with tangy, organic apple cider vinegar, fresh fruits, roots or herbs, and sweeten them with just the right amount of organic cane sugar or maple syrup. Every flavor is a collaboration with a Wisconsin farm.
