Hi! I'm Trish, and I have a few obsessions in life - two of which are knitting and bees. Weird, right? But hear me out— Almost 90% of plant species rely on pollinators to reproduce. Bees are pollinators, and honey bees are among the most numerous and efficient pollinator species in the world. The average honey bee can visit more than 2,000 flowers in one day. Bees are vital to our ecosystem. We need them to keep our crops and earth healthy, but in recent years their numbers have been decreasing by the billions. The Bee Conservancy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting bees, safeguarding the environment, and securing food justice through community-based education, research, habitat creation, and advocacy.
