About Mettler1929

Mettler1929 is a Swiss and vegan cosmetic brand developed and produced in Switzerland since 1929. Its mission is to offer innovative and high quality skin, body and hair care products that respect the skin and animal welfare. It all started in 1929 when a Swiss gentleman, called Gotthilf Mettler, returned from a journey in the United Kingdom with a glycerin soap recipe handed by a British doctor. Mr. Mettler was seduced by the virtues of the glycerin soap and despite the fact that this ingredient was practically unknown in Europe at the time, he built his own soap factory in Switzerland and launched his very first soap: the “Soap for Doctors”. More than 90 years later, the soap factory is still operating and our glycerin soap is sold in most Swiss pharmacies. Over time, the following two Mettler generations extended the product portfolio and turned the soap factory into a full-fledged cosmetics company. Nowadays, we offer over 60 products divided into 9 products lines. Each line was developed to meet the needs of a specific skin type. 100% Swiss: Our products are developed and produced in Switzerland to ensure quality and safety to our customers. 100% vegan: Our products are vegan because, in our view, beauty is more beautiful when it is cruelty-free. 85% natural ingredients: Our products are formulated with on average 85% of natural ingredients that were carefully selected to meet the specific needs of different skin and hair types.
