FLATYZ HAND-CRAFTED FLAT CANDLES Our history of hand-crafting candles began as a fortuitous friendship between two candle making enthusiasts – Darius Igaris and Aidas Gilaitis - who have been following their passion to master and tirelessly improve the art of candle making. A few years later, Darius already had a small workshop in the basement of his cottage, where he made candles by hand and sold them to small retailers on weekends. At the same time, Aidas had turned one of the rooms of his flat on the 5th floor of an apartment building into a small atelier of his own experimenting with different techniques and materials to create awe-inspiring decorative candles. Both were driven by desire to craft something novel and exciting, something no one has yet thought of or seen, challenging the stereotypes of what a candle is or could be. After meeting and joining their creative forces, the ingenuity and dedication took on a hand-crafted with love, now recognized as iconic, flat candle shape. Now it is a product of the FLATYZ, a favorite and well-known brand all over the world. This candle comes complete with a specially designed metal stand. In FLATYZ, it all begins with a strong focus on quality. All candles are hand-crafted with love, using only the highest-quality raw materials, paraffin additives, wicks, and paraffin dyes that we procure from select industry leaders with unwavering reputation. Time-tested, unique technology is being used in production.
