Karen Boelts is the owner and founder of Fierce and Free Jewelry. Her studio sits at the base of the majestic Flatirons in Boulder, Colorado. Karen made her first debut in the world of jewelry design in the 7th grade by designing wedding bands for her best friend Sherri and Peter’s wedding. They performed an elaborate ceremony with an exchange of awkward kisses and rings. Unfortunately, the marriage didn’t last, but her passion for making jewelry did. Each piece of jewelry is a celebration of art and culture. Being blessed with a diverse family, Karen is involved in the movement for equality and donates 5% of profits to organizations that support equality. Her passion for empowerment and equality shines through in her creations. Fierce and Free Jewelry is feel-good jewelry offering powerful designs with messages and stones that have depth and meaning intended to lift, empower and create change.
