By hand, with heart. Islay’s Terrace is a small-batch, independent design studio created by Jillian Audrey that believes in the slow process painting and stitching by hand. Each piece is lovingly created in my studio outside of Boston, MA. My embroidery designs start out as a small sketch, which I also paint with watercolors and gouache and turn into prints and greeting cards. My embroidery is all stitched by hand and I work in small batches of fabric and uniquely-dyed threads for limited edition pieces that each have a special character of their own. My work is inspired by florals, botanicals, folk styles and my Eastern European roots. I have a wide assortment of fabric and thread here at my studio and am happy to work on custom pieces with colors or patterns that fit your shop's style!
