Sarabeth's was started nearly 40 years ago on the Upper West side of NYC as a small cafe'/bakery by the Founders and namesake Sarabeth Levine and Bill Levine. Since that time Sarabeth has remained committed to producing only wholesome foods that are natural, delicious and healthy. The preserves and marmalades started with a family recipe passed on from Sarabeth's grandmother. To this day the ingredients and recipes have stayed true to the original. The flavors are intense, the consistency reflects the fruit and the lower sugar and lack of pectin allows Sarabeth's Legendary Spreadable fruit to blanket your taste buds with delight. Each jar of Sarabeth’s Award-Winning Legendary Spreadable Fruit is watched carefully throughout the cooking process. The fruits are hand-cut to avoid bruising and to preserve their natural flavor and texture. They are slowly simmered in small batches and allowed to thicken without the use of pectin until they reach their peak of flavor. Over the years, Sarabeth has meticulously developed several delicious flavors in her Spreadable Fruit line, using only the finest ingredients. These spreadables are unique because each flavor combines two to three fruits. They are all-natural, less sweet, and lower in calories per serving than ordinary preserves.Read their story
