About Balanced Design

We design modern, colorful, throw pillows and tote bags using our hand drawn patterns, which are hand printed on luxury fabrics in Rhode Island. We also create wall art and custom rugs. All pillows and totes are made to order for you in Fall River, Massachusetts, once the center of textiles in the USA. Hand printed, locally sewn matters. Because we spend most of our lives indoors, beautiful spaces matter. The quality of hand printed textiles matter. Melinda Cox is the Creative Director of Balanced Design and a multidisciplinary artist at the intersection of minimalism and graphic pattern. Most often described as modern and bold, her designs have appeared in numerous local, national and international publications, including books, the New York Times, Metropolis Magazine, Traditional Home Magazine, and on HGTV.
