LUMENE is Beauty Born of Arctic Light. We formulate our products with one foot in the wild Nordic nature and the other in the lab, meaning that our products have a unique blend of naturalness and tested efficacy. Our ingredients come from the Nordic nature, and many from organic certified forests allowing nature to regenerate. About half of these Nordic superfruit we get by wild crafting, by harvesting uncultivated plants from their natural or ‘wild’ habitat, typically by handpicking. The other half we upcycle from the side streams of Finnish food and forest industries. Four distinct seasons are a hallmark of the Nordic environment – berries, seeds, plants, tree saps and even mushrooms have evolved over thousands of years to survive and thrive under a challenging annual light cycle. After long, unbroken winter darkness, months of 24-hour summer sun follow. The intensely regenerative power of Arctic summer light is key to the potency of our natural actives and the secret of our authentic, luminous, and efficacious beauty products. Circularity is part of our brand DNA.
