J.Clay is a sock startup from Mönchengladbach. Inspired by the 80s and 90s, street art, sneakers and current trends, we want to be more than just an ordinary clothing brand with J.Clay Socks. J.Clay is for all those who don't want to grow up and are still children at heart... just like us... We, that is Felix, Jan and Moritz. Growing up in Mönchengladbach on the Lower Rhine in the mid-1980s, we get the inspiration for our socks from this very time, which was one of the most formative of our lives for us. Baggie jeans, hoodies, white tennis socks and sneakers were our daily uniform. A way of life influenced by the Simpsons, Snoop Dogg and the Prince of Bel Air. A handful of good friends with whom you spent every day for years. Always on the go, always something going on. The first party, the first girlfriend, the first beer. It feels like an endless summer, full of great memories! What a great time! But as life plays out, we too got older and grown up at some point. The best friends moved away and in most cases swapped their hoodies for a suit. 1-2 times a year you still meet... laughs about old times... and how cool it would be to turn back the time. “Back then.” When we founded J.Clay in 2017, we wanted to bring back a piece of that freedom with our socks.
