Like many people I had a lockdown love affair with crafting. Then life added a twist and we moved to the Kent coast. We found one oyster shell and did not realise we were holding a work of art. A little research on techniques and we produced a decorative trinket dish. We fell in love with beachcombing and now using a 12 step process, we turn little pieces of nature into something beautiful and useful. We decided on the name "Bee my Oysters the bumble bee was one of our first creations.

For as long as I can remember, I have worked with my hands. My dad was the most handy and creative person I’ve ever known, and I grew up watching him work in his upholstery shop on Howard Street. He could fix or make anything and nothing went to waste in his shop. He taught me how to sew, cook, use tools, and always nurtured my imagination. Now his shop has become my workspace where I make pottery and books, do woodworking and photography, and, of course, upholstery which I am slowly teaching myself just as my father did. I like working with different mediums to keep variety in my projects. This also also allows me to use up my materials a lot more effectively. You may notice some of the same materials across different projects and mediums: old clothing where the fabric is fragile becomes a bookcover or used to create texture on pottery; a random piece of rare fabric or paper is turned into a unique accent on a book or clothing item; smaller books use up paper and bookboard scraps; and the tiniest scraps of fabric accumulate and are added to poufs and meditation pillows as stuffing. A lot of similar themes will end up working their way through my different mediums as well. Some of my favorites are space, cats, bees, mushrooms, birds, and the moon. When I’m not making pretty things in the shop, I’m cooking yummy Turkish food, hanging with Rodrigo, our cats, our family and friends, or exploring Baltimore and beyond!

My designs are inspired by my background in painting- always color-forward, and often filled with painterly patterning. I love experimenting with new materials, colors, and silhouettes, and am adding new designs to my collection regularly.

Necole started Serenity Shells when She was let go from her full time job due to the pandemic. Her last day in office was 3/12/20. In November 2020 I launched Serenity Shells not knowing how or what was next for me, but I knew how good it felt to create these. We get our shells from local fisherman here at the Jersey Shore , who collect them after they are done with what they need and we pick them up every week. We then get them home, clean them, dry them and sort through which ones we will be able to use. The ones that I can't use, they will be ground up for our garden in the backyard. I then decorate them with recycled napkins. Then they are glazed and painted with gold liquid on the edges. They really have become such a passion and I am loving every minute of it. So, thank you for following and liking my items.

I have always loved all things coastal, and have acquired quite a large shell (and rock!) collection over the years. You will find shells placed all over my house at any given time of the year, and I love creating unique pieces to help people bring a little coastal flair to their homes as well. I live near the coast in Maine with my dog, Lilly. In 2021, I decided to turn something that has been a hobby of mine into a business, which has quickly become a passion. Del Mar Designs is a woman-owned and operated business that specializes in handmade home decor. Each item is handmade with love in Washington, D.C. We know that oyster shells are a source of restaurant industry waste when not recycled properly, so we do our part to transform them into works of art. We partner with local DC restaurants to recycle their used shells. Our products make great gifts, and are available for weddings, showers, and events.

In her small studio located in Atlanta, GA Sophia hand makes each piece out of hand-mixed porcelain slip. Everything is further decorated with a variety of hand mixed glazes and 22k gold luster accents. Everyday luxury is her life motto and her pieces are meant for exactly that.

DogFish Design 13 is family owned and recently relocated to Houston, TX, from Jupiter, FL. This move will allow our business to expand and better fill your needs. We love everything SEASHELL and ocean related. Our business was formed because we simply ran out of containers to store all the shells we had collected. What started out as making a seashell mirror at our kitchen table, has turned into this entire seashell home décor collection. Reach out to us to make something exclusive for your store. Our Trinket Shells and Ornaments are so special because we can put pretty much any image on them. We can add name drops or even put your logo on the shells. Yes, we use all real shells. From giant Lion's Paw Scallop Shells to even Florida Scallops for our mini collection. Every shell is carefully selected. There might be small imperfections, but they are made by Mother Nature herself. We use a Non VOC/Food safe resin to seal our shells to make them last a lifetime. We also use Gold Leaf on the shells as trim. This adds to the beauty of each shell.

Lani Lane Boutique first launched during the pandemic in 2020. Since then LLB has grown, adapted, and continued to create unique items that are inspired by nature, spirituality, and love with a modern style niche. The business is named after the owners two daughters, Lani & Lane, as they are the inspiration to continue to build, grow, and share creativity through jewelry and accessories and also to influence them by relaying the message that you can do anything you set your mind to!

Tough Kitty Designs began in 2019 in the heart of the Southwest; Tucson, Arizona. Gathering inspiration from the Sonoran Desert, pop culture, art history and metaphysics, TKD creates handcrafted ceramic goods and jewelry, collage prints, greeting cards, stickers and more!

Former award winning wedding invitation designer turned decoupage artist. Art has always been my passion. After graduating from The School of Visual Arts with a degree in graphic design, I launched a successful wedding invitation business where I specialized in creating elaborate custom invitations for local and nationwide brides. In 2020, everything changed with the pandemic. Many businesses were impacted, including those in the wedding industry. I needed to find another outlet for my creativity. My serendipitous search led me to a box of oyster shells lying around the house, and the idea of turning them into decoupage trinket dishes. This new hobby soon turned into a complete transformation of my business.
