Since I was as tall as three bamboos, I have travelled from country to country, immersing myself in cultures more varied than a cocktail of exotic fruits and exploring the seabed like a fish in water. Yes, it's me, Jacques Coust... um no, just a fan of scuba diving! In 20 years of playing hide-and-seek with Nemo, I have witnessed an invasion more terrible than that of the Martians: that of plastic waste. Our beautiful oceans, transformed into plastic soup. And let's not even talk about the degradation of coral reefs, victims of mass tourism and neglect of waste. But one day, sitting on the terrace of a restaurant in Thailand, on the island of Koh Phangan, I made a revolutionary discovery. No, that was not the meaning of life, but almost: a bamboo straw in my cocktail. Bingo! I was like a schoolboy who had just discovered a new stupid thing to do. It clicked. 🍀 I was determined to become the Batman of Bamboo, the zero-waste crusader. My new mantra: sharing my commitment with the world! Barely back in France, I embarked on a mission as ambitious as building the Eiffel Tower with toothpicks. I decided to change mentalities by creating an eco-friendly store, an Ali Baba's cave in bamboo. And poof... as if by magic, My Bambou was born! In 5 years, my team and I want to become a major player in the French manufacture of bamboo accessories.
