Angela Rose is the self-taught jewelry artist behind BLUMA. She began making jewelry in 2016 as a hobby, but popularity and demand quickly led to an Etsy shop, wholesale and consignment accounts, and artisan markets. After an accident in 2018 that left her homebound for several months, she decided to pursue jewelry full-time. Originally working under the name Brass&Pebble, in 2024 Angela rebranded as BLUMA. Bluma is a Yiddish name meaning “flower” and is an ode to her namesake, her Jewish great-grandmother Rose. BLUMA jewelry is handcrafted using 14k gold-filled components and jeweler’s brass sheet and wire. Each piece of brass is cut and hammered by hand, using an antique anvil made from old railroad track, resulting in our signature organic texture. Our timeless designs can easily be dressed up or down, effortlessly pairing with anything from jeans and a t-shirt to a little black dress.
