Sew U.P. Style Co began as a "pet" project during her off-season spent in a small, rustic, cabin in Northern Michigan. Creativity and style run in Julies family tree. Julie is a family taught designer. Her Great-grandfather immigrated to America and landed in Chicago where he was a successful tailor. She spent many hours watching and learning from her Grandmother who was a seamstress and her mother sew. Starting at a very young age she started making clothing bags and blankets for friends and family. In the Winter of 2012, her hobby turned into a full-time job. In the Spring of 2013 Sew U.P. Style Co. was born and trademarked. Her original design the Snarf a creative play on the traditional scarf. The Snarf is unique as it snaps to add hardware and functionality. This popular design has made its way into wardrobes all over the world. She traveled and featured her pieces at Craft shows and Art Fairs. It wasn’t long before retail partnerships showed interest. In the spring of 2018, she opened her first store front on Mackinac Island MI. The Store Rustic Chic Boutique features many original pieces along with clothing and accessories. She also features many Michigan Artists. Along with her store front on Mackinac Island, you can find Sew U.P. Style Co. Pieces in boutiques all over the country.
