About Red Thread & Co

We're Lindsey & Curt, a wife, and husband duo that partners with artisans in Ecuador to bring global goods to your door. Our focus is on providing our customers with quality products from fair trade partnerships. We fell in love with travel more than a decade ago, and have continued to return to South America to build partnerships with amazing artisans in the Andes region of Ecuador. We co-design with our team who craft them with care. We work hard to ensure a fair wage for everyone involved, with a passion for supporting women’s equality by working with women-owned businesses and indigenous women-led co-ops in rural areas. Our hope is when you purchase something from us, it is loved and used for years to come. Made to last a lifetime and make you feel at home wherever you are. Curious about the name? Red Thread & Co. was inspired by the understanding that we’re all connected. Folklore says an invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle but will never break. Even more, though, there’s a tradition throughout South America (and beyond) that a red thread bracelet will ward off bad energy and bring you good luck and protection. These simple bracelets are meant to be put on with intention and worn until they naturally fall off. We love everything about what each variation of red thread represents, which is why we include a similar token of gratitude with every purchase.
