What started in a back bedroom has now grown into a full warehouse that employs other moms wanting flexibility with kids schedules and who believe in family/life balance. Every hat is made not only to look great, but also be functional and keep those ears warm or out of the sun. ALL of our hats are made to order and completely customizable. Foxgloves are the brain child of Harriet Zbikowski. "As a landscape architect and professional horticulturist I yearned for a glove that wouldn’t impede my sense of touch. I tried every garden glove on the market but never found one that fit well and could be worn all day. My search for a tactile friendly glove led me to try dress gloves from the 1950’s. The classic dress glove was designed to fit snugly, offering great sensitivity, but the fabric wasn’t designed to withstand the harsh conditions of digging in the soil. Thus began my quest to develop the kind of glove that I wanted and that I believe other gardeners want, too. I tested many fabrics for abrasion resistance, and this blend performed the best. 20 years later we still hear "I love my Foxgloves!"

In 2018, Jan and Steve decided to retire and transitioned Screamer to family friends Julie and Robert Treves. The Treves’ relationship with Screamer began when the family patriarch, Tom Treves joined Jan and Steve on the founding trip to Park City. For the 25 years that followed Tom took the family on a week-long Thanksgiving retreat where every family member would get their own Screamer hat from the latest catalog.
